In one of the most dominant cars in Formula 1 history, Perez spent much of last season stuck in the shadow of his team mate Max Verstappen. The Dutchman would secure 19 race wins as he took his third consecutive world title in style.

In the end Verstappen would finish with 290 more points than Perez, as the Mexican endured one of his most mentally challenging seasons. He would face serious questions about his future at Red Bull as a result.
