The gloves worn by Carlos Sainz in the 2023 Las Vegas GP, boasting FIA 2018standard certification are entirely fire-resistant and designed to offer maximum protection when racing without hindering the driver’s movements. Conceived through the collaboration between Scuderia Ferrari and visual artist and graphic designer Joshua Vides, they are part of the team's official racing attire and celebrate the return, after decades, of the F1 World Championship to the American entertainment capital.
The gloves are inspired by the aesthetics of that Golden Era, a particular time in the 1970s when motor racing first enjoyed the attention of American fans, and feature its distinguishing trait – the reintroduction of the colour white, placed alongside the traditional red.
